Editing a Squidoo Lense, I had a brain storm of an idea.  Now having brilliant ideas is not new for me, well they are brilliant at the moment and all too often begin to lose their brilliance within moments.

Ok, here is the idea I had … changing my squidoo screen name.  I added a poll on my Lensography Lens and will accept opinions until next Friday April 4th before deciding.

My quest for the title of “Giant Squid” on Squidoo continues.  As of today I have 52 lenses published.  I would be pretty confident that I would be called a Giant Squid by the powers to be except for one small thing …

What is the definition of the word “Quality”?  Quality can mean different things to different people.  The criteria for Giant Squid is to have “50 quality lenses published on Squidoo.”  I have 50 lenses but are they quality?

I will site patiently and see what the powers to be decide.  I will hope for the best and know that I put forth the effort to create those 50 squidoo lenses.  Yes! I shall be patient, but I will not be idle.  Each morning I will look at the bottom ranked 5 lenses and work to improve them.  I will then look at the 5 top ranked lenses and make additions, changes and improvements so that they hold their position on squidoo.

My best ranked lens has been chosen as the Lens of the Day, a pretty good honor from what people say and it was also in the top 100 for 2 days.  Currently it is ranked 200 something.  Needs a good bump.

My lowest ranked lens is ranked 110,000 but it was new this morning and I added a lot to it today, so I will really know tomorrow morning where I stand with the newest lenses.

Now if I could just figure out what “Quality” means to the folks a Squidoo.

Squidoo article marketing - does that sound strange or seem to be a contradiction? Squidoo is a web page right? Well the longer I look at and think about it, the more I realize that a web page is really just an article. I like writing, that is my real passion. Perhaps I am not the best at it, yet I enjoy it. I write articles that I publish to article directories and I have had good results from doing it, so don’t take this wrong.

I love Squidoo - I view squidoo as - Squidoo article marketing!

I am on a quest for “the Giant Squid”. If you do not know what a Giant Squid is on Squidoo - it is a lens master that has 50 or more quality lenses on Squidoo. Your lenses are viewed by real people, not by an algorithm, and when the determination is made that you have 50 or more “quality” lenses, you become a Giant Squid. There are a lot of benefits give for being a Giant Squid. My quest now is to receive the title “Giant Squid”. Once each month they bring into the pod new Giant Squids. I probably will not make the pod this month but next month, thats what I am aiming for.

As of yesterday, I have published 45 Squidoo lenses. If you would like to see a list of my lenses you can see them at DMedley the Lensography. Back to the point, I do not feel that everyone of these lenses is quality, not sure how the powers to be a Squidoo will view them, but I don’t. I will first publish the total of 50 lenses and then beginning with the lowest ranked lens, work my way up the list improving each lens as I go.

Yesterday I published 4 lenses. No I did not write all 4 yesterday, I finished them yesterday. I published lenses on a variety of topics.
